- A charming and cozy hotel that is part of the exclusive Royal Scots Club, ideally located on a beautiful Georgian-style street overlooking a lovely wooded park. The city center is just a 10-minute walk away. - We stayed in the annex, two blocks from the main hotel, at 34A. The annex consists of four basement rooms. Our room, 341, was well-appointed, tastefully decorated, and well-equipped (courtesy tray with a selection of teas, coffee, and biscuits, along with a kettle and coffee machine, a spacious wardrobe, bathrobes, slippers, etc.). - The full breakfast was satisfying and of good quality, served in a beautiful dining room (I would suggest offering more fresh fruits). - Lucille, the receptionist, was very friendly and offered excellent advice (visit Stockbridge :-)

All of the staff were great! Lucille who checked us gave us a really helpful and warm welcome! The 34a Annex room and bed were both comfortable and warm which is important in Edinburgh at winter time. After a day of checking out the sights, we warmed up quickly in our room which was a good size. I liked the location that it was quiet and well placed, a little over a 10 min walk to the main busy area of the city. The property was also located close to some very nice breakfast/brunch spots and bars. Thank you!

We had a lovely room on 2nd floor overlooking the park. The bathroom was small and the shower was over the bath. We didn’t have issues with this but others could have had as getting in and out was a bit of a challenge. The location was great as not far from George Street etc. Bar service was good and the lounge was very comfortable and it was also nice to have the outside terrace. We didn’t eat at the Royal Scots club so can’t comment on this aspect.

It was a really lovely stay. The room was great and contained everything needed. Bed really comfortable and managed to sleep really well which is unusual for me. Dressing gown and slippers provided. Bath and shower. Tea and coffee facilities, a lovely historic stay as the Royal Scots Club has memorabilia of its early days all around. Staff really friendly & welcoming, helpful. A really enjoyable stay will definitely stay here again as I loved it!

I had a wonderful time at the Royal Scots Club. Very cosy with lots of history and character, it was like stepping back in time. The location is excellent and the staff is very friendly, professional and courteous. The ensuite-room was beautiful and very clean. The breakfast is amazing with a lot of choices. The hotel is only 3 stars but would deserve more regarding the brilliant service and all the extras in the room. Will definitely go back.
